internet a list which identifies a large number of SIS (MI6) officers.

Defence Advisory Notice No 6 asks editors and programme makers
to seek advice before publishing such details unless they have been widely
disclosed or discussed as such action could put lives at risk.

Departmental officers are examining how the damage of this disclosure can be minimised.

On the 14th of May, 1999, on the site of Executive Intelligence Revue (EIR), http://www.larouchepub.com , under the heading, "the MI6 factor in the murder of Princess Diana by Our Special Correspondant" (see Edito EIR 1)an introduction to a list of MI6 officers that they called "The E-Mail Posting". They declared that although they knew some of the names on the list, there was insufficient time to independently verify the list. So they were publishing the list as raw information. A couple of days later, they suppressed the Internet page without public explanations. Privately, they declared that they felt that they had been victim of an MI6 manipulation : MI6 was ready to sacrifice some minor secrets in order to frame AL FAYED and TOMLINSON.

Some British journalists think that in fact an EIR spookwatcher (EIR employs large numbers of freelance journalists), composed the list using the British diplomatic list  whilst pretending that the infomation came from an MI6 insider. In support of this idea, they quote the strange text "Attached list identifies the unprincipled and unscrupulous individuals involved with MI6 worldwide ", which seems to have been written by a foreigner (probably a German).

Having analysed the "EIR" list, the majority of the journalists of Inside-News think that it's quite probable that the leak of the list was in fact a MI6 damage limitation operation to forstall any publication by Richard TOMLINSON (a minority opinion, similar to that published in "Spooky Times at alt.cockup.MI6", exists and they have made an interesting analysis which we will publish later). We formed this majority opinion when we regrouped the names by date of birth and geographical distribution.

[We have added to the EIR "E-Mail posting some additionnal infomartion which we have placed in Square Brackets. We have in particular filled the strange empty spaces after some names. If this document has been written by Mr TOMLINSON, these gaps are incomprehensible.  TOMLINSON identifies most of them in his letters. But most of these people are already wellknown to spookwatchers. Therefore, if TOMLINSON wished to hide that he was the author of the list he would not have left such gaps.]

[The lack of infomation about Mr FOX is very interesting help for the identification of the author of the list. Mr FOX who was under the cover of Consul General in Geneva, was posted a couple of years later (1995) to Africa. Where he had an embarassing episode which exposed him as a MI6 agent to half of Africa. It is strange that a "spookwatcher or TOMLINSON out to embarass MI6" doesn't talk about this episode. To many observers, this strange ommission suggests that the real authors of the list are in fact MI6 officials.]

[Mr MONCKTON's cover in Geneva was first secretary, (disarmement conference). In fact Mr MONCKTON is one of the more interesting names on the list. The MONCKTONS have been spies for a least four generations. The young MONCKTON, has the advantage to have the help of his sister (Rosa) and brother in law (Dominic Lawson). Rosa LAWSON-MONCKTON had an important mission to keep an eye on Lady DI. (See Euro-Business 5 June 1999) Dominic Lawson, now editor of the Sunday-Telegraph, had an important role in furnishing journalistic credentials for serving MI6 Intelligence Officers. It's not clear whether the MI6 officers had only a need for cover in English society or whether they were pretending to be journalists in hot spots like Yougoslavia.]

ARE THESE SPIES IN DANGER AFTER THE PUBLICATION OF THE LIST

[The spookwatchers PIR have demontrated that several names on this list have been exposed before], see list PIR "Sixteen Were Previously Published => see "list_PIR_2"

[As to the agument that the publication of this list puts the lives of MI6 officers at risk : the PIR shews that 8 of the officers on the EIR list continued to work abroard after having been exposed on previous occasions (Lobster list etc...). They took the risk to cary on working abroad knowing that in fact they were in little danger. They were right, they're still alive.], See "Edito_PIR"

IS IT A REAL LIST OF REAL MI6 SPIES ? :

JYA who also has published the list, has posed the question "Is it a real list of real MI6 spies". They answer "Yes" but they think that TOMLINSON is the real author. To JYA it's clearly a leak of top secret information from the inside. See  Edito JYA 2
