My take on Blair's unfailing sycophancy is that he's being smarter than he
seems. If Clinton survives (big if), then he's going to be weakened on the
world stage. No-one will take him seriously. Blair can then present himself
as the dynamic leader of the left and a big player internationally. Also,
Clinton's going to owe him big - it's always useful to have the most
powerful man in the world in your debt.
